Created in 1996, HRA Pharma is a European pharmaceutical company that develops and commercializes products in its key therapeutic areas of reproductive health and endocrine diseases. André Ulmann started his career as M.D. in academic hospitals, and then transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry, joining the French company Roussel-Uclaf. He began as an International Project Leader and then was appointed Medical Director of Laboratoire Roussel France. Following this, he served at the helm of four different therapeutic areas within Roussel-Uclaf and Hoechst-Marion-Roussel: international clinical research, endocrinology and immunology, neurobiology, and bone diseases.
André Ulmann received his M.D. degree from the University of Paris VII and his Ph.D. in science from the University of Paris VI. He is an expert in nephrology and internal medicine fields.

He started his career at the wholesaler CERP.
